Here are some natural remedies to lighten the skin on your elbows and knees:
1. Cut a lemon in half and squeeze out some of the juice. Place your elbows inside these lemon halves and leave them that way for 15 minutes or so.
2. Use a lemon to scrub your knees.
3. You can use the lemons left over from the previous remedy.
4. Apply some mineral oil or coconut oil to your elbows and knees an hour before you go to bathe. Take a nice hot shower and then using oatmeal scrub exfoliate your knees and elbows.
5. Rubbing cucumber on your knees and elbows may act as a natural bleach
6. You can also use gram flour as a scrub. Before using any scrub, try and loosen dry skin in the area by moisturizing and steaming them.It will take a while before these remedies start to take effect, but if you try them diligently, they will help lighten the colour around your knees and elbows and improve skin health in those areas.
